Well, today was actually pretty good.
The weather has been just atrocious, but I enjoyed it early. Really windy, just a little wet. It was fun. And today we were going to go to the thrift store to find stuff for cosplay costumes. I had the fewest things still to find for my costumes too, so I was excited that maybe I'd finish.
Yeah... I should stop hoping like that when I do things like this. My friends found TONS of great stuff. Marina even found (via Lizzie) her desired white trench coat (like Subaru's).
Me? I found a shirt to wear for dressing as Yuki Eiri from Gravi for the Gravi party at Sakura Con on Friday night.
That. Was. It.
>.<
My Seishirou costume NEEDS glasses and I still need a white dress shirt. Where do guys BUY that sort of thing? All the ones at Value Village were just like... strange!
I also need that for my cop-out Tsuzuki costume.
I realized later I should have looked for a black turtle neck and glasses like Watari's. I could have done that too given I have the labcoat for Seishirou already. ^^;
Oh well, after thoughts...
So, I was kinda bummed out. Felt bad about being so too, cuz they were so excited and I had fun, I did! but it just kinda was a bust for me. And then when we got back it sounded like my friend Sammy wanted me to come over and hang out for a while, but I just didn't feel like it anymore. All... blahy and stuff and I didn't want to ruin their fun.
So I walked Marina back to her dorm across campus and WILLINGLY studied Psych for a while (THAT tells you something about my mood).
Then her roommate got back (a japanese student in an exchange-type program) and she helped Marina with her final speech for her class and then started showing her Marina's name in kanji.
I was interested in this, so I sorta of stopped reading the book and watched and then when she finished that she turned to me and asked me if Elisha was my first name or not. I got confused, but eventually got the question and answered yes and then she figured out my name in kanji. Then my last name too! Which, is evidently pretty cool with kanji. It has dream in it, and pear, and leaf.
*grins*
That cheered me up a little. It was just such a nice, random gesture and I thought it was really interesting.
So I guess I feel a little better now.
So... sorry guys *hugs sammy, jenni, and liz*
*HUGS*
I felt bad about leaving, but I just didn't feel up to it. (still don't, but I do feel a bit better thanks to kind japanese roommates)
Hmm, maybe I should do that next year? A japanese roommate.... *ponders on this*
