Nov. 7th, 2004 12:27 amSo, I just finished watching FMA dub on TV. Hmm, mixed feelings.
I still don't particularly like Ed's voice. Or that they made him the narrator for this episode. Though, Al -did- narrate the preview, so MAYBE he'll be it for the rest as it should be as well. Hopefully. Also, WOW does the dub ever make the brothers sound ummm more.... selfish and bad.

I mean, geez. I'll have to see if that keeps up, it just seemed like they are more harsh and stuff in this interpretation. Also a few lines I think were interpreted completely differently than I took them.
Particularly when Al and Ed are talking about how people say the dead can come back and Roze is outside by her boyfriend's grave. I never saw what Al said there to be taken the way the translator's evidently took it. It made him sound really gullible. Which he is sometimes, but he wasn't in that scene - not to me anyway.
*sighs* Well, it was still nice to not have distracting subtitles and to watch the prettiness. And it wasn't -awful- by any means. Like I said, mixed feelings. ^__^
On the other hand, I was telling my little sister she should try watching this and my mom taped it for her to watch later... Reconsidering that now. 0.o I forgot how much gore there can be in this show and they put in swearing. I may suggest that my mom watch it first... just to check. ^^;;; *feels foolish now*
Now to watch Stand Alone Complex cause it looks interesting.
