I WANNA SCAN

Okay, random rant:

WHY would someone use the only specialty computer in a lab if they weren't going to use the thing that makes it different from every other computer? Especially when there are LOTS of other computers just like it besides the special thing all around it?

I'm talking about the computer lab I'm sitting in at the moment and only one computer has a scanner. That is the ONLY thing different about it from all the others. And yet inevitably there is ALWAYS someone at this computer when I have something to scan on me. (Hell, most of the time even when I don't.) And yet almost everytime, they arne't actually using the damned scanner.

WHY?

There are closer unoccupied computers to each entrance to the lab, so that can't be it. There are tons open at the moment (I can understand using it if its one of only a few free).

So why use it if you aren't gonna use the scanner, huh?

Okay. *sighs* And I really wanted to scan the Ouran spread in my Animedia and some of the cute calendar pages that came with the mag.

On that note, for anyone out there that can help - got any Chrono Crusade, Princess Tutu, Mai-HiME, or Ouran official art out there? XD; I tend to collect official art/magazine art/sketches/scans etc of series I really like, but at the moment, I only have such things from Yami no Matsuei, X (manga), and TONS for Fullmetal Alchemist. I need other stuff. To like make layouts and icons and winamp skins out of.

Just curious because my searches have not proven very successful.

And omg, they got off the scanner-compy! *runs to go switch computers!*

EDIT: Okay, new computer. Now to see if the scanner's actually working XD;;;

In any case, I've been making a lot of icons lately and been wanting to branch out into other series, but the thing I have the most resources for is FMA still. *laughs* So yeah. Been wanting to do more graphics stuff lately. *nods*

Anyway, the scanner does indeed work, so awesome. I think I shall post those later.

p.s. if you ever need it, haggard library side computer lab also has a scanner in it. it's past the reserves desk, you go past the bathrooms...it's a lab that's sort of hidden away. =)

I have most of the Tutu official art. I have to scan the inserts for the DVDs-- technically the Japanese DVD covers-- but I have Tutu stuff. I'll try to remember to load it.

I do screencaps of Tutu, too. =p

XDD yeah the scanning computers are always taken whenever I have the inclination to scan... but all the other computers are always taken too. But I guess If I did want to scan, people who do... >_> have priority over those who don't?? (According to the note by those...)
XDDD But finding ANY kind of computer is nearly impossible for some magical reason. >_>;;;
