So I'm very late compared to everyone else, but it is still the first day of the year, so XP Happy New Year's everyone! I hope it's starting out fabulously for you all ♥

1) Where did you begin 2009?
At the Shinto shrine in Granite Falls (Just like I started 2010!)

2) What was your status by Valentine's Day?
Still happily with the only person for me ♥ ♥

3) Were you in school anytime this year?
Not in school sadly, but working at one.

4) How did you earn your money?
I'm a "Parking Cashier" at University of Washington Bothell (and for part of the year I was also a grocery store checker)

5) Did you have to go to the hospital?
Yup, but not for me XD;

6) Did you have any encounters with the police?
Again not for me, but there were police occasionally around our old apartment for various... things.

7) Would you relive 2009 over and over again?
I don't know if I'd want to live it over and over again, but I didn't think it was all that bad a year. Ups and downs, per usual.

8) What did you purchase that was over $1000?
No single thing. Though the move in costs for Mari and my portions were over that, does that count?

9) Did you know anybody who got married?
Yes, several people. Most vivid in memory was Chris and Sora's lovely wedding ♥

10) Did you know anybody who passed away?
Not personally, but a lot of other people have had people die in their families this past year and it was just not a good year to be a celebrity either >.>;

11) Did you know anyone who had a baby?
Just wyldlock having his baby girl over in Japan with his wife.

12) Did you move anywhere?
Yup, from a semi-shitty apartment with just Mari, me, the kitties and a fishy into the house we are renting with mikkeneko, seleraleonhart, and secretlymoe (and add three more cats and two more fish to that too)

13) What concerts/shows did you go to?
The So You Think You Can Dance Tour from season 5 (it was incredible!) and Wicked (also totally awesome!)

14) Are you registered to vote?
Yup and I exercised that power too, yay.

15) Do you still have the same job as you did in 2008?
Yes and no. I had more than one at the time, but I still have the UWB job (thank god!)

16) Has anyone betrayed you in 2009?
Betrayed is kind of harsh, but I do feel like I lost a friend in 2009, yes.

17) Where do you live now?
Still the same city technically, but now we live in a much better part of it and in a house

18) Describe your birthday?
Ahaha, my birthday was chaos. It was the first day of the quarter for the school so I had insane work hours that day and then we had tickets to go see Wicked that my mom had surprised us with and we got lost on the way there and were late! T.T But we got in without missing too much and there was cheesecake to be had afterward and it was all good ♥

19) What's one thing you thought you'd never do but did in 2009?
Stop playing Kurogane in LJ RP ;.; (But that will change soon). More seriously? Work a fulltime office job, dude whut? XD

20) What has been your favorite moment?
Oh geez, that's hard! Throwing a Halloween party for the first time and family vacation to Anaheim with kaitou_marina and my family I think

21) What's something you learned about yourself?
I have no idea what I'd actually like to do with my life (work, family, etc) It's kind of disconcerting ^^;

22) Any new additions to your family?
Yup! Three new fish (seven if you count poor Yue and Chrono and Hikaru and Hikaru 2.0, who all died T.T), an as of yet unnamed betta of mine, Black*Star (Mari's betta), and Tsuzuki (formerly Kaoru) the giant ryukin goldfish that actually lived.

23) What was your best month?
Oh geez, I dunno. As stressful as it was I'm going to say Dec because that's easy and it's within recent memory XD

24) Were you in a relationship this year?
What do you think? XD Yes, the same one I've been in for years and years!

25) What music will you remember 2009 by?
Lady Gaga because she just like exploded all over the radio this year and Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling" because I heard it like everywhere for months and months and several other songs that came out this year that I really loved.

26) Favorite book you read?
Do manga count? >.>; No? Okay, umm, probably Wicked then (which I read during the spring/summer before seeing the musical in Sept.)

27) Favorite Movie? Star Trek, Zombieland

28) Favorite TV show?
So You Think You Can Dance, Castle, kind of Glee

29) New friend?
New friends met off memento_eden and quovadis_rp, including Megan-face and also getting to know Mikke better ^_________^

30) Would you say you've changed since the beginning of this year?
I think so, but not a whole lot. And I'm not awake enough to pinpoint the hows though, sorry XD;

31) Do you think 2010 will be better or worse?
I'm hoping it will be better, but I'll be happy if it's just as good as last year too. ^.^


So that was last year, here's to next year! Starting with some resolutions for me to keep track of. Call me old fashioned even if I do know I don't keep them - they are more like things to work toward anyway, right? Right.

• Artz!

Even just drawing more. Seriously, why should this be hard? My sister has far since surpassed me, I need to get back to practicing more often. I want to tweak my style so it's more... unique or has different flavor to it, but we'll see. Just drawing more in general would be good. But I also wouldn't mind doing some other art projects and such. We'll see what happens I guess. At least the drawing more often bit though, geez.

• Clean up the bedroom

This is just sad, I know, but our room is still not fully unpacked from moving in here.

• Get things on the walls of this house damnit!

We have way too many posters to not be putting shit up. I've just been lazy and hesitating about whether or not we are painting, but you know what? If we do, I'll just take stuff down. Good grief, self, it's not that hard.

• Post more often

Yeah, I don't post on LJ enough for some people and I agree, but I am doing better than I did the year before last, so there XP~ I still could do better, but eh, we'll see. Oh and I may actually tag stuff, that's another we'll see XD;

• Money Stuffs

Haha, doesn't that sound broad? Basically now that I'm making a little more than I used to, I really should be putting some into some sort of savings. Also, need to get on that whole combining accounts with kaitou_marina.

• Cosplay

I want to get back into doing this and have a bigger part in contributing. Try/practice sewing more myself even. I think that's pretty self-explanatory, yes?

• Photos

So I have a camera and I've taken tons of photos with it and I like never do anything with any of them. So I'd like to change that. Post them or print some of them or something. Mm. Kind of wishing I hadn't resized so many of them I've already taken and put on the computer at least. Should have just left them and stored them on a thumbdrive or something. Ah well.

I haven't posted in a while either about just stuff, but I'll do an update on life or whatever later. We're planning on going to see Sherlock Holmes today, possibly as a whole household *gaspshock!* Laters!

Edit: The fish is now named! My betta is named Kufadis after the Abh lieutenant of Spoor in Crest of the Stars. That poor poor man ♥
