Lazing Around At Home

Guess I will try and ramble in this thing more. XD; I is at the family house for a couple days right now. It's always nice to visit here and be away from like work and the daily grind, but I always miss 'Ina too. That was sort of embarrassing, but it's still true. Mom said on the car-ride down here that maybe we could go ask around about some of the apartments [livejournal.com profile] kaitou_marina and I looked at but couldn't ask about because it wasn't office hours and/or they didn't have flyers with any extra information or anything. I hope we actually get around to doing it. I was really curious about a few of those places. If not, I'll just have to call and ask, which isn't that hard or anything, but I think I have vague anxiety about the phone and calling people for a reason.

Don't ask me why, I don't know. It's not even that extreme because I will do it, I just get very reluctant to call when I have a specific reason for doing so. I dunno, it's weird.

Also talked about possible types of jobs I could look for when we move down here. Mom really would like (and honestly so would I) for me to find something slightly more career/future oriented. It's not like I like working in retail/food etc in the slightest, it's just that I don't know how or where to go from where I am now. It's not like my foreign language skills are up to par for what I'd need for a job, but I know there must be other things I can look into. So were like trying to think of ideas of other areas of study that I focused on in school. What I'd really like, and it may be a pipe dream, is to work perhaps in the video-game industry in some shape or form. It's been a pretty constant dream for me to delve into the field one way or another since like... middle school. XD; There's a book I've seen floating around all about different ways and jobs in the gaming industry, so I kinda want to pick it up, at least to see.

Ah speaking of video-games, Indiana Jones Lego Adventures or whatever it's called is adorable and really addicting! I think Mari and I have to get that one. *.* I haven't really been playing my 360 much cause I'm usually doing so much on the computer anyway or playing Phoenix Wright on the DS, but I definitely would get the thing going for lego!Indy ♥

Other than those few things, only things going on with me are various RPs XD Pique (of Princess Tutu) and Kurogane make the strangest allies EVAR, I think. XD And my dragon boy is like, so head-over-tail in love and doesn't even realize how bad he's got it yet. And there's draaaaaaaaaaaaaama in the realm of the dead and a god of death that doesn't know he is a god yet XD Lol. And I have to say, damn you Shito (the guy in my icon actually) for being such a contradiction on legs *shakes fist* But I will master your character, I swear it! Oh yes, and a certain twin will be arriving soon and causing friction between our Big Puppy and Big Kitty soon >D Not that anyone knows what I'm talking about. (Except maybe that first one, that's over at [livejournal.com profile] mukashixmukashi XD)

Now, see? This is why I don't post often. I just go on and on about random crap! Ah well ^.^

OH OH, wait one more thing! I saw a fox on the way down here yesterday! Zomg, it was so cute! ♥ I was sooo happy. It was just sitting off to the side of the freeway in the grass, staring up into the sky. It was a little gray one. Sooooo cute! I like spazzed. I'd never seen one in the "wild" before. ^..^/) Ki~tsu~ne~ ♥

I assume you're still awhile from a lot of hard searching? It's more a matter of keeping my eyes peeled and poking around the internet communities. You should definitly pick a neighbor or two to narrow your search down. What's a good deal in Ballard may be horrendous in South Center.

That's part of the problem actually. We don't have much time to come down here to just look at places in person. We're having to rely on on-line listings and book listings.

As for the narrowed down area, we have to be a decent/short commute to Lynnwood/Alderwood Mall since Marina already has a job at the Lenscrafters near the mall. So we're looking at Lynnwood, Shoreline, edges of Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace, Brier (though I've seen nothing available there, but it'd be a not bad commute, so it's on the table) and a last-ditch effort would be looking in Everett.

Well if you're looking to be flexible for both Lynnwood and Seattle then living as close to I-5 and a bus line downtown is key. You should be able to find plenty of cheap stuff since you won't be in Seattle. Because of all my previous work I know a couple of the neighborhoods well but not necessarily the suburbs.
